Viadeimille

Origin: Noto, Sicily

Produced in: Italy

Where Sicily tells its story through scent.

Viadeimille is a love letter to Sicily. It’s landscapes, traditions and almost-forgotten history of perfumery.

The story begins in Noto in the 1950s, where Salvatore Scorsonelli established a small artisanal distillery on Via dei Mille. Surrounded by jasmine, almond and citrus trees, he produced precious floral essences, particularly zagara, the blossom of the bitter orange, destined for the great perfume houses of France.

Decades later, his grandson Stefano Alderuccio returned to that family story, creating Viadeimille as a contemporary expression of Sicily and its extraordinary perfume-making heritage. The fragrances draw from the island’s flowers, fruits, landscapes and traditions, with exceptional Sicilian essential oils forming an important part of the compositions.

The collection is deliberately focused. Zagara, Gelsomino and Mandorlo explore some of Sicily’s most recognisable botanical signatures, while creations such as Dolce Kaos and Kore Sacra move deeper into the island’s mythology, culture and contrasts.

Viadeimille doesn’t simply take inspiration from Sicily. It brings a forgotten piece of its perfume history back to life.
